MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

HI, I’M MELISSA!
_

I am a speaker, trainer and wellness coach who spent nearly 30 years working with non-profit agencies. During my career, which I loved, I burned myself out multiple times because I was not taking care of me. Burnout took a toll on my relationships, my work and my health. I knew there had to be a better way. I began learning about the importance of self-care, boundaries, burnout prevention and the impact of stress on our physical, mental and emotional well-being. I am passion about wellness, particularly for those who care for others.

I have an extensive background in supporting the emotional well-being and personal development of others, grounded in years of dedicated study and hands-on experience. I have a B.A. in Psychology, M. Ed., and am an Associate Certified Life Coach with a Health and Wellness Certification. I have honed my expertise in guiding individuals from states of overwhelm and burnout to resilience and growth. My own journey in overcoming burnout has equipped me with a wealth of practical strategies and interventions aimed at fostering self-awareness, self-compassion, and sustainable life balance.

Module No. 01

  • In this module we focus on stress and stressors. It includes an overview of the stress response cycle, why we get stuck in the cycle, ways to complete our stress cycle so we can shift into relaxation, and our own personal signs of stress.

  • In this section, we explore the importance of engaging in self-care strategies that address physical, mental and emotional well-being. We review meaningful and practical strategies that can easily be incorporated throughout the day. We also look at unhelpful thinking styles along with ways to combat those thoughts, the importance boundaries and finding joy in everyday life.
